Macroporous Aminomethyl Resin

This resin differs from the gel aminomethyl resin by the presence of permanent pores in the polymer, even in the dry form. Transport of molecules to the reactive sites in a macroporous polymer is much faster than in nonmacroporous polymer of the same macroparticle size and degree of the cross-linking because most of transport occurs through liquid-filled pores rather than through the cross-linked matrix. So macroporous aminomethyl polystyrene resin distinctively benefits the solid phase synthesis.
